Global Water Dances is a biennial event that took place for the fifth time in 2017 in over 100 cities across six continents. The project raises awareness about the importance of water through the art of dance and empowers local dance communities to collaborate and take action.
Global Water Dances advocates for safe water everywhere in three ways: by motivating dancers and choreographers to perform as advocates for social issues; inviting the general public to engage in the movement; and partnering with environmental experts and organizations to share and disseminate information about their projects.
For World Water Day 2018, Global Water Dances is gathering their choreographers and dancers to celebrate and reflect on water on March 22!
