To commemorate World Water Day the NDU Water Research and Development Center took 32 students with a teacher from Nalinya Lwantale Girls Secondary School to a close wetland.
There we covered the functions and importance of wetlands, e.g. for flood retention, were discussed. Also we observed how water can be judged by turbidity, color, and smell. Also had a brief talk about water borne diseases to complement the event.
