World Water Day - The Answer is In Nature - Sustainability and Resilience at Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District

Please join us for a special World Water Day program on the water reclamation, wetland restoration and sustainable infrastructure efforts of Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District. Learn about the district’s work to restore 140 acres of wetlands and create high quality habitat that today hosts more than 200 bird and waterfowl species. Participants may also opt to tour the district’s new LEED Platinum certified Maintenance Facility and the struvite harvesting plant, which removes phosphorus from the wastewater stream for shipment out of the watershed. Check-in for the optional tour starts at 5:15 p.m. with presentations beginning at 6:30 p.m. Use this link to register: https://www.eventleaf.com/worldwaterday. We look forward to seeing you there.
