We invite you to celebrate the World Water Day, which will take place on March 22, 2018 at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy Management at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław.

As part of this year’s theme “Nature for Water” during the World Water Day, we organize a series of thematic lectures, visits to our laboratories, as well as scientific demonstrations addressed to secondary school students. We will present a series of interesting experiments that will be discussed and explained in an accessible way. One of the most interesting experiments will be the movement of water in the channel under the influence of various obstacles of both natural and anthropogenic origin in the watercourse channel model. Interest will be shown by the demonstration of the operation of the latest equipment for determining surface and underground water quality indicators. A water flow demonstration will be carried out by the model of the Wrocław Water Junction. Students will be able to model the simulation of water flow through the river valley using professional software. Students will also have the opportunity to conduct experiments independently in many of our laboratories. We also invited representatives dealing with water management, hydrometeorology, hydrology, nature conservation and environmental protection, and environmental engineering, so it will be an opportunity to talk to professionals.

We hope that during the lectures and workshops we will draw the student’s attention to the problems with which water management in the 21st century must manage. In addition, students can take part in many competitions and tasks. We have prepared attractive prizes for the majority of students involved.
