Upper Hutt City Council is hosting an event on World Water Day, 22 March 2018 to highlight environmental issues around water globally and locally and offer opportunities for action, featuring guest speakers, schools and community groups. The first half of the evening is designed as a general information session about the global situation with water, followed by some examples of actions taking place locally, presented by community organisations and schools to encourage people to take some action locally. The second half of the evening is designed to be a more detailed discussion about the serious issues we are facing and an opportunity for people to have a say about follow-up actions in their community. Nau mai, haere mai, all welcome! For further information, contact [email protected]
