Water is all around us, it seems, but clean freshwater is in many regions still one of the hardest resources to get. How do we deal with this issue? What happens when it doesn’t act as a resource, but as what it is – a force of nature?
These questions and more will be answered by experts in their fields, who will talk with passion for about 20 minutes. Afterwards, you’ll get the chance to reflect about everything, drinking some of the more tasteful products of freshwater 😉
We organize this for Protos, an NGO that strives towards a better water management in developing countries and in Belgium.
During the days before the symposium, we will also sell some delicious sweets in the Agora (E building Campus Coupure), so you can easily support us even if you can’t attend the symposium! If you want to support Protos even more, you can donate here: http://www.voordrinkwater.be/nl/steun/actie/world-water-day-symposium .

Who are we?
We are the students of Land & Water Management of the faculty of Bioscience Engineering, supported by IAAS Gent (International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences).
Why do we organize this?
March 22 is UN World Water Day, to focus on the many water issues world wide. We encounter these problems with freshwater often during our courses and want to bring them to a larger audience, while raising funds for Protos vzw.
